Stainless steel balls
What is stainless steel according to EN10020? By definition, it is a designation for materials with a special degree of purity. These can be alloyed or unalloyed steels.
However, it is important that the iron content, i.e. the sulphur and phosphorus content, does not exceed 0.025%.
The statements that stainless steels are non-rusting or rustproof are not correct. They do not necessarily have to meet the requirements of stainless materials; conversely, not every stainless steel is automatically a stainless steel.

As standard, only two different stainless steel groups are used in the production of balls. One is hardened and the other is unhardened. The unhardened ones are also known as VA steels.
